Cacti is our house plant of choice… mainly because they are low maintenance which lessens our chance of accidentally killing them! Designed by sculptor, Ben Russell, The Cactus House is a multisensory botanical installation at Hignell Gallery.
Bringing the outside in Russell’s handcrafted sculptures celebrates the unusual form and shape of cacti that he went to great lengths to intricately sand and polish to create the amazing cacti on show. What’s more, the exhibition is a life-sized celebration of Pantone’s colour of the year, greenery, which makes the exhibition fully immersive and totally inspires us to add a little more greenery and cacti into the home!
Entry is free and The Cactus House is open until the 3rd of July. We think that it’s a totally unique and eye-opening way to spend a lovely June afternoon!

A brilliant twist on the traditional dining experience, why not bring the restaurant to your own home? Dining clubs have grown in popularity in recent years and are certainly the trendy thing to do. Interested to know a little more we stumbled across the uber cool Disappearing Dining Club!
The Disappearing Dining Club is all about bringing people together over good food in unusual spaces. What we particularly like about it is that the cool club will do all the hard work and make the food and choose the location – all you need to do is hang out with friends, eat and drink! You can even choose to have the dinner at your own home, although we would highly recommend letting the company choose a secret location for you as it’s the perfect opportunity to see new and interesting places.
The Sunday Times Style aptly sums up the Disappearing Dining Club as ‘ Restaurant food without the good behaviour’. So have a little fun this month and host the ultimate dinner party for you and your friends!
There’s so much to love about a Rooftop bar … the panoramic views, good company, booze and a little more booze!
This month the Queen of Hoxton
is the rooftop bar that we want to hang out at. With beautiful views of Shoreditch, the bar theme this year is Peter Pan’s Bangarang…. Neverland isn’t a place it’s a state of mind! Dressed head to toe in FUN the rooftop bar is the perfect place to hang out on a summer evening.
Become a kid again and hang out in sea shells at the mermaid lagoon, drink at the Lost Boys bar and take a few selfies on the Captain Hook pirate ship! Even better, you can try out a number of Neverland themed cocktails including the Mermaid Slushie (Layered Frosecco, fruit juice peach liquor, orange juice, cranberry juice, blue curacao) or the adventurous selection of Mermaid Shots served in Clamshells!
