Lucy, Jane and the RSG Team x
This month we have teamed up with the talented Katy Theakston, founder of The Owl & the Apothecary who is offering you the chance to win an all women’s workshop for you and three of your friends! A great hen party idea, the Wild & Wonderful Workshop will help you turn your thoughts and ideas into something you can see and believe in… and actually, do. Katy actually used this approach herself to totally turn her life around. A business and a baby later she is a woman on a mission to inspire every woman to create their own happy happenings.
The Owl & the Apothecary inspire women to create positive change in their lives with award winning beauty & balance boxes and cosy & creative workshops. Stylish, cosy and unique – we at RSG love this girl-power approach and overall wellness emporium.
We have three super stylish venues to run the workshop from and you can choose the best location for you; in London, Dorset or Sussex. Winners must be available to do the workshop on Saturday 22nd July and be responsible for travel to and from the workshop. To be in with a chance of winning a workshop with the wonderful The Owl & the Apothecary simply click the link above to be redirected to the competition page where you will find one very simple questions to answer.
We’ve found that a love for great food and great interiors are closely linked – so we are always scouting for the best new places to eat and drink that combine both our loves. This month our new obsession has been discovered through one of our fabulous, and co-interior-obsessed, customers (@goldenpeaches). The Redroaster Coffee Co in Kemptown, Brighton serves up a killer combination of delicious food and strong coffee, making it the ultimate brunch spot.
Top menu picks include the delicious Chilli Scrambled Eggs, Smoked Streaky Bacon with Flatbread and the Sweet Spiced Churros with Salted Caramel and Whipped Banana – YUMMY! What’s more, the coffee is roasted every day on vintage Diedrich roasters and this has successfully resulted in an authentic blend of deliciousness to suit all die-hard coffee fans.
But, what we love more about Redroaster Coffee Co is the interiors. Filled with metallic golds, beautiful marble surfaces, plenty of greenery hanging from the ceiling and a cheeky ‘The Beach is Boring’ sign. This is a cafe where we feel right at home!

With so much talent and creativity exhibited at the event, you could spend hours perusing the table-top displays, but one of our top designer highlights which have caught our magpie eyes has got to be Industrial Jewellery. We love industrial interiors so you can imagine our delight when we came across this sophisticated and totally unique jewellery brand!
Other recommendations include: Emily Thatcher (who creates the most beautiful stone rings), Romor Designs (beautiful patterned fabrics that are made into gorgeous lampshades), Yuta Segawa (eclectic miniature pottery) and Nawal Gebreel (showstopping scarves).
20th – 21st May | Mary Ward House, 5-7 Tavistock Place, WC1H 9SN
For all of our fellow bloggers out there, this is an event not to be missed! Hosted in Manchester, the ‘North of Watford’ Now Blog Conference is the hottest blogging event in 2017. The weekend long event is kick started with an FAQ event where you will have the opportunity to talk to inspirational bloggers and industry experts. The next day, jam pack your schedule with the long list of workshops to get involved with and keynote speeches to listen to. In the evening, you get to play hard – let your hair down at the prosecco party and on Sunday morning nurse your hangover at brunch which will include an en masse craft workshop!
Speaker highlights of the event include a keynote speech on colour from the uber talented Sophie Robinson and a talk hosted by Emma Chapman from the hugely popular food, decor, style and crafts blog: A Beautiful Mess. Whilst the conference is not until September, we recommend getting your tickets now before they all sell-out!

The iconic Artist Residence Hotel group is setting up a new pub and restaurant in Oxfordshire with five hotel rooms to stay in! Officially opening on Wednesday, May 19th the Artist Residence Oxford will be the perfect countryside getaway for you and your partner.
Artist Residence first made waves in 2008 when the hotel group opened its doors in Brighton. Two years prior the co-founder, Justin, had dropped out of University to be at the side of his mother who had been in an accident. The family owned a B&B which was in need of redecorating, but with no money to redecorate Justin had to be inventive! Fortunately, Justin came up with the genius idea for artists to decorate the rooms in exchange for board. The response was overwhelming with hundreds of artists responding and together with his girlfriend, Charlie, the co-founders have created the very cool hotel group.
Their newest project is rather quirkily called: Mr Hanbury’s Mason Arms and is a pub/restaurant with five bedrooms to stay in. Known for it’s warm, homely and eclectic vibe just like the Artist Residence London (pictured above) expect a traditional building with its most beautiful features preserved and mixed in with some hand-picked pieces from auction houses and reclamation yards. William Morris wallpaper will feature in the Oxford hotel and a curated collection of artwork will adorn the walls. With such an eclectic collection prepare for the Oxford Artist Residence to be just as spectacular as it’s sister locations but with its own unique twist!
Psst … Artist Residence is offering our Hot List Readers an exclusive discount code! Enter the code ‘RSG17’ when making a booking at the hotel to get 20% off! (Please note this offer expires, June 30th 2017).
Open from 19th May 2017 | Station Road, South Leigh, Oxfordshire, OX29 6XN
